Tarasha Craft Exhibit: Celebrating Heritage & empowering Rural Craftpreneurs
Project Tarasha, a social initiative by Titan Company Ltd., in collaboration with Creative Dignity and , proudly presents the Tarasha Craft Exhibit 2025—a unique celebration of India’s rich handmade heritage, taking place from February 22 to 25, 2025, at CSMVS, Mumbai.
Project Tarasha is a year-round commitment to empowering rural craftpreneurs, helping them build sustainable livelihoods through hands-on workshops in skill development, digital literacy, and market access. The Tarasha Craft Exhibit 2025 was a culmination of the entire year’s efforts, bringing together craft artists from across India to share their craft, stories, and aspirations.
This year’s exhibit featured a spectacular range of traditional art forms, including Ajrakh block printing from Gujarat, Sozni embroidery from Kashmir, and leather puppetry from Andhra Pradesh, among many other time-honoured crafts.
Visitors got the rare opportunity to meet the artists, witness live craft demonstrations, and purchase exquisite handmade pieces directly from the creators. Beyond the craft displays, the exhibit also hosted interactive workshops organised by EkiBeki (including special gurukul style under the trees), panel discussions, and cultural performances, fostering deeper engagement between artists and audiences.
We also had a special request- we encouraged children to come along, this is a fantastic opportunity to understand Indian history and culture, told through the art. In fact, there were a few schools who booked special walk through sessions too.
The exhibition is a collaboration between
